We are delighted to inform you that we are now accepting applications for our new client Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) for vacancies available across all medical areas.

The trust is located in the North West and manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe. Based less than 1 hour train journey from Manchester International Airport and Liverpool Airport and less than two hours from Central London.

MCHFT has an excellent track record in retaining overseas nurses and have had many of them in excess of 5 years. They have a dedicated Practice Education Team to allow the nurses the best opportunity to clear OSCE at the first attempt time and this has been successful to date. Find out more about MCHFT here.

MCHFT offers:

  • Salary Band 5 £24,124 gross per annum.
  • Enhancements for “unsocial” working hours, nights and Saturdays +30%, Sundays and Public (Bank) Holidays +60%.
  • Mixed shift pattern days, nights and weekends, 37.5h per week, 3 x 12.5h shifts.

Recruitment process

The most important thing during the recruitment process is that we establish whether you are eligible for the registration at the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in United Kingdom. Here are the basic entry requirements that all candidates MUST prove BEFORE starting NMC application and prior to applying for the above roles:

  • 10 years of school education before starting a post-secondary education nursing training programme.
  • Nursing degree at post-secondary level leading to registration as a general nurse (minimum 3 years in length, containing minimum of 500 hours of clinical practice).
  • English language proficiency under one of the three categories:

1) Providing a proof of achieving a required level of fluency in one of the two NMC approved tests: 

 - Academic IELTS 7.0 - a minimum overall level of 7.0 and the individual scores not lower than: Listening 7.0 / Reading 7.0 / Writing 6.5 / Speaking 7.0

 - OET at B level in Listening / Reading / Speaking and minimum C+ in Writing.

2) You have a recent pre-registration study which was taught and assessed in English. Recent refers to 'which should not be more than two years old at the time of registration'.

 a) A University Transcript of Training, evidence must confirm that at least 50% of programme includes clinical interaction.

 b) A letter from the institution completing a NMC form sections 8a & 8b.

 3) Registration and practice of at least one year in a country where English is the first and native language and an English language assessment was required for registration.

IELTS - International English Language Testing System is an examination that is solely run at British Council approved/accredited institutions/learning centres all over the World.

OET - Occupational English Test is the English language test designed for the healthcare sector. The NMC will only accept results from the February 2016 test administration onwards.

OET is being updated and will come into effect from the September 2018 test (registrations open on 21 June):

Degree in paediatric nursing (to enable a registration with NMC as RN8 Children’s Nurse)

and minimum of 2 years of recent practice as a paediatric nurse.

All successful candidates will be provided with a comprehensive training / induction programme and a mentor. The candidates will have an opportunity to join the trust pending their NMC registration working as Nursing Assistants at Band 3 £20,795 gross per annum.
